Cultural Council

The Wrentham Cultural Council is a local branch of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, members being appointed by the Board of Selectmen. It is responsible for reviewing and awarding grants for cultural program in the Town. These funds are made available to the Town each year by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

Together with the Wrentham Historial Commission, the Cultural Council has hosted several events at the newly renovated Old Fiske Library/Museum/Gallery and is looking forward to additional offerings. With that in mind, the Wrentham Cultural Council recently adopted the following:

Enhance the vitality of the Wrentham community by engaging residents in the arts, humanties and interpretive sciences.

"The Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) is a state agency that promotes excellence, access, education and diversity in the arts, humanities, and interpretive sciences to improve the qualify of life for all Massachusetts residents and contribute to the economic vitality of our communities."

If you have an interest in becoming active in promoting the arts and humanities in the Town of Wrentham, the Cultural Council is seeking additional members.

If you would like to become involved and have some time and energy to contribute, please submit an application to the Board of Selectmen's office, 79 South Street.
