When Will Trash and Recycling Be Delayed?

Trash and Recycling will be delayed by one day during the following weeks with Monday holidays: September 5, 2016 and May 29, 2017. Refer to 2016-2017 Trash and Recycling Collection Calendar.

Trash and Recycling will also be delayed by one day after the following midweek holidays: November 24, 2016 (Thanksgiving Day), December 25, 2016 (Christmas Day) and January 1, 2017 (New Year's Day).

Where Can I Buy Purple Trash Bags?

Bags are available at Cataldo's Hardware - Cumberland Farms - Mobil Service Center, South Street - Shaw's and Big Y in Franklin - Stop & Shop in Franklin, Foxboro and Plainville. Purple trash bags are not available at Town Hall.

Where Can I Buy an Extra Recycling Bin?

Recycling bins may be purchased through the Department of Public Works. Call (508) 384-5477 for more information.

Removal of Trees

What are the Requirements to Cut Down a Street Tree in Front of My House?

It is illegal and a violation of Mass. General Law to damage or cut down any municipal shade tree. There are additional regulations against removal of shade trees on scenic roads. Please contact the Office of the Tree Warden at (508) 384-5477 should you wish to see the removal of any municipal shade tree. There is a legal petitioning process that MUST be followed.

All Town Offices will be closed on the following holidays: January 18th, February 15th, April 18th, May 30th, September 5th, October 10th, November 11th, November 24th, and December 25th.

What Town Office Sells Dog Licenses?

Dog Licenses for 2016 are available at the Town Clerk's office. An up to date rabies certificate is required. You can find the application form on the Town Clerk's webpage.

Where Do I Go for a Lake Pearl Parking Permit

Lake Pearl Boat Landing Stickers are available at the Board of Selectmen's office. Wrentham residents $40.00/$20.00 (for 60 and over), non-residents - $65.00. Access to Boat Landing for pleasure boating is restricted to residents only. Non-residents are only allowed to fish. Applications require name, address, birth year, telephone number, valid driver's license, vehicle registration and boat registration. Non-residents must present a valid 2016 fishing license.
